A very proud moment, holding my first published book. My book was a gateway into helping others!
In 2013 as I spent time advocating, I saw a need for a proactive suicide intervention message, because suicide never takes a day off. Every 11 minutes someone dies from suicide! Through trial and error I felt I could take my story and become a proactive suicide intervention story and place myself at busy intersections and offer free books. I would pack each book with resources and share a messa
My hope is I can fill my backpack regularly with books and with these books I will place myself where we find people every day. We often find people sitting at traffic lights, parks, and busy sidewalks. I want to have a sign with a message that offers them a free suicide intervention story. Within this book they will not only find a story of hope, or a story that shares knowledge to empower, but there will also be a list of resources they can access. To read more please follow the link
